Philadelphia Eagles: 5 Memorable moments from month one of 2017’s season
5. The shot heard around Los Angeles…
There’s something that can now be said with certainty. We’re never going to have to beg Doug Pederson to give the ball to LeGarrette Blount again. If that becomes a topic of conversation going forward, we’ll know, for a fact, what some of us have believed for about a year now.

Pederson is a double agent sent here to spy on us and create havoc.
Honestly, we don’t believe he is. He’s been a quarterback on this team, and he learned at the feet of the most successful coach, statistically, in Eagles’ history, Andy Reid. Still, there are things that Pederson did that defy logic. No one knows how Philly can go an entire game without giving Blount a carry, but they did.
In week three, they made up for that. In week four, they gave him the ball often. The results were more than favorable. He rushed for 136 yards on 16 carries, including a career-high 68-yard scamper and another run that sealed things. If he wasn’t in the hearts of Eagles fans prior to the day they took over the StubHub Center, he definitely is now.
More good days are coming. Stay tuned.
