4. Wendell Smallwood is expected to practice next week.

With all the talk about Lane Johnson, Jordan Hicks and the guys in the secondary, Philly’s second-year ball carrier’s sort of been forgotten about. Wendell Smallwood appears to be progressing just fine. Some are wondering if he’s a tad to fragile for the NFL game (he battled injuries a season ago as well. Seeing him in week seven, however, isn’t that big of a stretch.

You can probably already guess what’s being said about his return if you don’t already know what’s been said. Smallwood is expected to be evaluated by team doctors on Monday. He’ll be expected to practice during the week, but he’ll be limited in terms of what he’s expected and asked to do. When next Monday rolls around, he’ll, most likely, be listed as a game-time decision.
