Foles’ outplays Case Keenum in the Championship

We’ve mentioned previously that Foles had gotten benched during his lone season with the Rams. But we never indicated who he would take over for him. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum was the guy who snagged Foles starting spot in St. Louis. Eventually, he found himself in a similar situation though.

What NFL fans jokingly named “The Jeff Fisher Bowl” the two former Rams’ faced off in the NFC Championship Game. While the public consensus assumed that Keenum would have the better game considering he played well all season, Foles thoroughly outplayed him and punched in his ticket to Super Bowl LII.

Foles wrapped up the Championship game with a surprisingly impressive passer rating of 141.4. He threw three touchdowns and zero interceptions while Keenum threw one touchdown and two interceptions.

It was clear that Keenum was not on the same level as Foles that day and the situation for Nick could not have looked any better. To add insult to injury, Keenum’s short stint with the Vikings may come to an end as they elected not to franchise tag him for this upcoming season.
