Golden Tate, WR

Let’s try this again. Last week, Golden Tate debuted for the Eagles. After being traded by the Detroit Lions, the Eagles had Tate on an eight-game rental that started after their bye week. Assuming that since Tate had so much previous success against Dallas, he would have the opportunity to go off on them last week. Instead, the Eagles played him for under 30-percent of the snaps on offense.

This week, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson vows to use Tate a lot more. We’ll see it when it happens, but it truly does need to happen. The point of trading for Tate was to take the offense to a level that they have struggled to reach this season. The Eagles are playing the Saints, who are not really good on defense if we’re honest.

More often than not, New Orleans is engaging in a shootout at home. Drew Brees and the Saints offense are going to get their points, so the Eagles need to keep up. If they want to do so, they need to get the ball to Tate. No excuses.
