Carson Wentz, QB

While we’re on the topic of an offensive shootout, now would be a good time to mention Eagles quarterback, Carson Wentz. This week, Wentz will face a future Hall of Fame quarterback. Wentz will need to keep up with Brees and flash that eliteness that we know he has. Wentz has been terrific this season, but he hasn’t played at his highest level for all four quarters.

This year, it feels like Wentz has either started slow and finished strong. Or started strong and finished slow. This week, the Eagles need Wentz to play like an MVP for four quarters. No excuses. This offense needs to put up a ton of points in order to win this week. The defense is not going to help them, and the crowd definitely won’t be on their side.

With the season pretty much on the line from here on out, Wentz is going to need to turn it up and hit a hot streak. It is absolutely do-able, and the Eagles need to get it done. It’s understandable that Wentz is dealing with a lack of blocking and drops from the receivers, but he needs to adjust, and get on the same page with everybody.
