Fletcher Cox, DT

Fletcher Cox has been a force up front for the Eagles defense. This is nothing new though. Offensive lines simply struggle against Cox, and we all clearly know why. The man is indeed a beast. There’s nothing fancy about his game either. There’s no crazy swim moves or spin moves that he does to avoid being blocked. He just merely uses strength to power his way through defenders and to the quarterback.

It works reasonably well, and it’s one-hundred percent a crucial factor to get on the road to victory. When Cox is giving the offensive line a hard time, everybody plays better. Why’s that? Because Cox attracts all of the attention on himself. He’s too powerful to have somebody go one-on-one with him. Blockers need help because they simply cannot stop him.

The Redskins situation at quarterback is terrible. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. Although we believe the Eagles secondary could probably do a fine job this week without the defensive line getting a ton of pressure on the quarterback, but no way will be the case though. Cox has been on a tear, and that most likely won’t change this week.
