Josh Sweat, DE

To be honest, Josh Sweat was a big disappointment during the little time that he played in 2018. It’s okay to sort of excuse it since he was a fourth-round draft pick, who was thrown into the fire. He appeared in six games, and only registered one tackle. Unfortunately, he ended up falling victim to the injury bug as well and his season was cut short like many other players.

As Eagles fans get worried about the defensive line though, they have to remember that Josh Sweat, who was a star at Florida State is only 21-years-old. Sweat ended up being a quite valuable pick in the fourth round. Since he had injury concerns that dated back to High School, many teams shied away from him. Not the Eagles though.

Honestly, Sweat didn’t miss much playing time in college. During his three seasons at FSU, he played in almost every game. Unfortunately, that injury-prone narrative got to him in the NFL, and he ended up getting stuck on the Inured Reserve. Sweat is still a huge question mark, but he’s definitely someone who could shock the Eagles in 2019.
