7. You knew Orlando Scandrick was making this list.

Here’s the thing about Orlando Scandrick. Like Darby, he was one of those signings that seemed decent enough. Honestly, there have been no real options at cornerback unless a team is willing to trade for one and pay a king’s ransom.

It was also pretty easy to figure out that, when Scandrick was released on the final days of roster cuts, that he was probably going to be back. That’s the Philly way. It’s better to shuffle guys that you already know in and out than to grab a new guy and teach him the scheme from scratch.

Scandrick made his return, and aside from a few highlights, that proved to be an unwise move. Still, if the cowardice that he’s shown in the aftermath was one of the key factors in firing this team up and fueling this turnaround that we’ve seen from ‘The Birds’ over the past two weeks, that failed Scandrick test may have been worth it. Grade: C-
