5. What should Eagles expect from Eli Manning?

Assuming that Daniel Jones misses Monday’s game as expected due to an injury, Eli Manning will start under center for the first time since Week 2 with the Giants.

Back in April when New York decided to use a first-round pick on the Duke product, the original plan seemed to be that Jones would learn from the sidelines as a rookie since Manning seemed to give the Giants their best chance to win games.

After New York lost each of their first two games, Pat Shurmur quickly made the switch from Manning to Jones to see if the rookie could find a way to provide a spark on offense, which turned out to be the case at first.

Watching Jones start his NFL career 2-0 made it seem like the Giants could become surprise contenders in the NFC before they would go on to lose each of their next eight games.

With this in mind, it would seem like Manning would struggle in Week 14 just like Jones since the veteran doesn’t exactly have the best weapons to work with on offense outside of Saquon Barkley.

Taking this into consideration with the fact that Manning hasn’t played in almost three months, it would seem like Manning would be in for a rough outing, but also since no one really knows what to expect, the Eagles better be prepared for anything.
