Philadelphia Eagles rival watch: 5 Possible replacements for Jason Garrett
Current Position: College Football analyst at FOX, former Head Coach at Florida and Ohio State
Urban Meyer is so good that he literally built his greatest team, one that’s currently eyeing a College Football Playoff National Championship, and then, he just gave that team to someone else, current Buckeyes coach, Ryan Day.

Only the Good Lord in Heaven knows what type of mix Urban Meyer and Jerry Jones would produce, but here’s one thing that no one can deny. The second he’d step in as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, he’d command instant respect by coaches and players alike.
Meyer won two National Championships with the Florida Gators while competing in college football’s best conference, the SEC. We’re talking about a conference that’s known for fielding pro-level talent and get this. He dominated with two quarterbacks who weren’t going to be future NFL stars.
Then he went to one of the nation’s proudest programs, Ohio State, and he won there. In all, he’s constructed a 187-32 win-loss total, a 12-3 record in Bowl games, two Mountain West Championships (2003, 2004), two SEC Championships (2006, 2008), and three Big Ten Championships (2014, 2017, 2018).
Earlier this week, Jane Slater of the NFL Network listed Meyer as a possible Cowboys candidate along with Clemson Tigers offensive coordinator Tony Elliott stating the following.
"Jerry Jones says Jason Garrett will remain the coach, but I can confirm a very real interest in Urban Meyer. In fact, I’m told Stephen Jones spoke with him recently. Lincoln Riley remains a strong candidate, and file this name as a possibility, Clemson OC Tony Elliott per sources."
The Meyer angle is interesting, but would he leave his job as an analyst for a second time to join the oft-stressful position of coaching the so-called ‘America’s Team’? Keep an eye on this one if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Things could get interesting.
