Philadelphia Eagles great Harold Carmichael is in: 3 Big reasons to love 17
On days like the one where we were all informed of his achievement, it’s easy to talk about what he did on the football field. Still, even though his on-field accomplishments could carry a conversation for hours, it’s the things that he continues to do and the man that he is that makes him a guy that we all love and a man that we all should all respect.
While he was hauling in 48 receptions for 815 yards and nine touchdowns and earning his final Pro Bowl nod in 1980, he was also contributing to the community off of the field and working his way towards an NFL Man of the Year honor in 1980.
Carmichael continues to inspire young men and women, Eagles fans, and every student who steps onto Southern University’s campus and hears the tales of the great Jaguars that were there before them.
