Philadelphia Eagles add 12 undrafted FAs: Thoughts on each one
Manasseh Bailey, Morgan State, wide receiver
There have been quite a few NFL legends who have played at historically black colleges and universities. There’s Doug Williams, John Taylor, and Steve McNair.
There are also Hall of Famers like Art Shell, Deacon Jones, Mel Blount, Shannon Sharpe, Bob Hayes, Jackie Slater, Walter Payton, Jerry Rice, Ed “Too Tall” Jones, and the Eagles’ own Hall of Famer, Harold Carmichael.
Only time will tell if Morgan State’s Manasseh Bailey will ascend to that level, but first thing’s first. With DeSean Jackson, the newly-added Marquise Goodwin, Greg Ward, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and the three wide receivers that Philly just drafted on the roster, Bailey needs to focus on other things like simply making the roster.
Noah Togiai, Oregon State, tight end
Let’s be honest here guys. None of us are certain who the third tight end on the Eagles roster is. After Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, they employ Alex Ellis and Josh Perkins, but they didn’t draft any. Noah Togiai will get a chance to compete for that third spot.
He’s six-foot-four and tips the scales at 244 pounds. He also snagged 102 career receptions in 34 career games for 1,048 yards and ten trips to the end zone.
The “Birds” have one Oregon State Beaver on the roster, Isaac Seumalo. Might Togiai join him on the 53-man roster? It won’t be easy, but it’s possible.
