Analyzing each Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers Fantasy value
By Smit Bajaj
The Philadelphia Eagles’ elder-statesman may not be a Fantasy darling anymore.
Eagles legend DeSean Jackson‘s performance last Sunday was forgettable, to say the least. He managed to only secure two catches for 46 yards. Now, while some of that is attributable to the fact that most of his seven targets weren’t catchable, no one can argue with the results.
If this isn’t worrying enough for Fantasy owners, Jackson was only on the field for 54 percent of the Eagles’ offensive snaps. It’d be one thing if he was nursing an injury, but ‘D-Jax’ came out on Twitter saying that everything was all good.
Later, head coach Doug Pederson told the media that they wanted to ‘make sure he’s healthy’ and that they will have him on a snap count early on. This might be the best course of action for an aging veteran that hasn’t played the full 16-game schedule since the last time he was in Philly, but it’s the last thing you want to hear if he’s on your Fantasy team. He might break a big play here and there, but from a week-to-week standpoint, Jackson shouldn’t be one of your starters.
