3 Reasons Carson Wentz will lead Philadelphia Eagles to Week 3 win
2. The Philadelphia Eagles’ schedule only gets tougher after this game.
Week 3 against the Bengals is Philadelphia’s last chance to straighten things out before they run on of a couple of gauntlets in a schedule that isn’t as easy as everyone keeps trying to make us believe that it is.

Once the Eagles are done on Sunday, they have to immediately shift their focus to Week 4’s contest. That one is a road contest versus the San Francisco 49ers, and it also doubles as their first primetime game of the season. The ‘Birds’, then, return home to Lincoln Financial Field in Week 5 to host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6.
It’s very likely that this game versus the Bengals will be the last the Eagles are favored to win until their Week 7 bout with the New York Giants. If Wentz and the offense can’t get things together for this week, it’s not unimaginable to think the Birds could be 0-6 after their first six weeks of the season.
If Doug Pederson and the team have any aspirations of making the playoffs this year, a win against the Bengals is a good place to start. Once they’ve secured that, they can turn their attention to upsetting San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore (maybe).
