The Philadelphia Eagles could hang some serious points on this Cowboys team.

It was just a few weeks ago that the Cowboys seemed to score at will, but that all came crashing down thanks to Dak Prescott’s ankle injury. Come on. Did anyone see this level of offensive apathy with Andy Dalton behind center? In two games, ‘Jerry’s Boys’ have only been able to muster 13 points on offense.

Washington linebacker Jon Bostic’s knockout blow on Dalton means that Ben DiNucci is Dallas’ next man up behind the ‘Red Rifle’. According to The Athletic‘s Jon Machota, Dalton is currently in the league’s concussion protocol and could miss Dallas’ Week 8 matchup versus the Eagles. Make no mistake though. The Cowboys’ issues run deeper than just at the quarterback position.

The Cowboys defense is the worst in the league. Their offensive line has been ravaged by injuries, and running back Ezekiel Elliott has been a non-factor. Still, their biggest weakness moving forward might be a coaching staff that seems to be adverse to making adjustments, a coaching staff whose play-calling seems even duller than Philadelphia’s.

Prescott gave the Cowboys a chance to keep up with opposing teams on the scoreboard. Without him in the lineup, those hopes have evaporated. Don’t look now, but Dallas is going to have a hard time stringing wins together for the foreseeable future.
