Schwartz and Surratt are nice options for the Philadelphia Eagles in Round 5.

Once you get past Newsome, the Philadelphia Eagles have a couple of other nice options in Round 5. Here’s the skinny on both.

Anthony Schwartz, Auburn

Anthony Schwartz has a legitimate claim for being the fastest prospect in this draft. Sure, his 4.26 40 yard dash is impressive, but what’s more impressive is his game speed. Lining up primarily in the slot, Schwartz’s acceleration makes him a deep threat and an excellent runner after the catch.

The Auburn product is a Day 3 prospect that the Philadelphia Eagles need to target. The offensive coaching staff would love to have a playmaker like Schwartz that can cause havoc simply by being sent in motion.

Sage Surratt, Wake Forest

The global pandemic caused Sage Surratt to opt-out of the 2020 season, and as a result, his draft stock fell. He was garnering some serious first-round consideration prior to the college season, but due to a deep receiver class and a year off, he projects to be a Day 3 selection.

Surratt is a physical receiver that uses his strength and frame in all facets of his game. He’s not going to amaze scouts with his athleticism, but his film shows a consistent ability to make big-time catches. The ACC product would be a steal in the fifth round, so long as he didn’t lose too much steam during his year off.
