Philadelphia Eagles Day 3 Mock Draft: Will positional need be addressed?
By Hunter Doyle
Philadelphia Eagles finally address the cornerback position.
The Birds get a sleeper at pick 150 with California cornerback Camryn Bynum. While the ball skills aren’t the best, Bynum is an intelligent defensive back who has the size (six-foot, 196 pounds) and recognition to mirror opposing wideouts.
He has the potential to start on the outside for the Birds in the 2021 season. Part of that is because of the lack of talent at the position but his skill set shouldn’t be discredited.
Bynum can also help in the run game and we speak for all Eagles fans when we say that we’re tired of watching defensive backs miss tackles. Drae Harris from The Draft Network points out that Bynum has plenty of experience since he was a four-year starter at California and has stayed healthy with 38 consecutive starts.
For a position that the Birds lack depth at, they can’t afford injuries. Landing a talent like Bynum ensures that they have someone who is both healthy and up to the task of starting.
