Philadelphia Eagles Day 3 Mock Draft: Will positional need be addressed?
By Hunter Doyle
Kene Nwangwu is the perfect seventh-round pick. He does not have the vision or patience that is desired in a running back. In fact, you could argue that he is well below average in both areas.
You’re probably wondering why on earth any team would even give him a chance in free agency. While he might not be the most technically sound back he has the measurables working in his favor.
Nwangwu tested insanely well at his pro day. Nwangwu was measured at six-foot, 210 pounds, ran a 4.29 40-yard dash, put up 22 bench reps, and posted a 38-inch vertical.
All of these are incredible marks for a running back. If he can be coached up on the fundamentals, he could be an absolutely lethal gadget player in the right offense. Why not take a chance on him here? This feels similar to the Jordan Mailata pick.
