Can the Eagles’ offensive line protect Hurts from the sack-heavy Steelers defense?

The Pittsburgh Steelers definitely will be a tough opponent for the Birds as their defense always comes ready to sack the quarterback. They led the league last year in that category with 55, and T.J. Watt was the NFL’s sack leader with 22.5 big ones.

Those Steel City defenders also make sure they wrap up their opponents as they were second in the league in total tackles with 790. Philadelphia’s offensive line is going to earn their paycheck in this game, as they will have Watt and the rest of Steelers’ big boys swarming all day to get in the backfield.

Pittsburgh is another team the Eagles always have a tough time with, as they’ve only won two of the last five meetings versus the Black and Yellow. During the most recent clash, the Steelers beat the Eagles by a 38-29 margin in the Steel City.

This is a team that endured injuries, had a quarterback on his last leg ( Ben Roethlisberger), and still found a way to earn a playoff berth. Having future Hall-of-Fame coach Mike Tomlin on the sideline and a solid defense to lean on didn’t hurt either.

The game-changing aspects here will be the Eagles’ defense and if they can get the Steelers’ offense to cough off the ball. Jalen Hurts and the offensive squad are going to need a good starting position on the field because it’s going to be tough to move the ball against this team.
