Week 1 of Philadelphia Eagles training camp is in the books, and it honestly might have added more questions than answers.
Most of the questions are aimed at the offense after some struggles over the last two practices. This unit needs more work, but the defense doesn't, as they dominated those days for the Eagles.
That still leaves the Eagles with five burning questions they must get answered by the end of the second week of training camp. If they don't, there might be some major problems entering their first preseason game.
Burning questions entering second week of Eagles training camp
Can the Eagles' offense get back on track in Week 2?
It was a good Day 1 for the Eagles' offense, but it seemed to get worse each day. By Day 3, reports said Jalen Hurts was sacked eight times, there were multiple incompletions, and the offense struggled overall. Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion might be happy his offensive players learned the playbook so quickly, but that needs to translate to good play on the field, so some obvious work needs to be done.
What's the deal with Eli Stowers and not playing?
The Eagles used a second-round pick on Stowers, and he doesn't seem to be playing as much as expected. Johnny Mundt is the blocking tight end, so it makes sense for him to play, but is there a bigger problem at hand with Stowers? Is he struggling with the offense, or is it something bigger? Eagles need to know what is going on with him.
Is this defense for real or is the offense struggling that badly?
It's not hard to believe the hype around this defense, which is creating turnovers with the backups and sacking Hurts multiple times in one practice. This defensive front has looked great so far, with more praise to Jalen Carter and Jalyx Hunt. Even Jeremiah Trotter Jr. has been getting love for his play after replacing Jihaad Campbell in the lineup to close out Week 1.
This does leave some wondering whether to believe the hype or whether the offense is really that far out of sync. It's safe to buy into this elite defense, but the next few weeks will really determine how good they are once the offense finally starts clicking.
Will Tank Bigsby finally get the reps he deserves once the regular season begins?
Bigsby is finally getting his snaps and touches, which is great for the Eagles' offense. It appears that there will be more balance in the backfield with Saquon Barkley, but is this a facade? Please ensure there is a real plan for Bigsby to be involved in this offense once Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season begins.

Which offensive playmaker is going to set up and help Jalen Hurts?
It feels like Hurts hasn't gotten much help from his playmakers over the last two practices. Outside of big pass plays from Darius Cooper and Dontayvion Wicks, it's been a quiet training camp for the wide receivers and tight ends. Somebody has to step up in Week 2 of camp and help Hurts out if this offense has a shot of being great in 2026.
