The Philadelphia Eagles have a big need at wide receiver that must be addressed during the offseason.
Philly just said wide receiver Jahan Dotson signed with the Atlanta Falcons on a two-year, $15 million contract. With questions surrounding whether A.J. Brown will be traded, the Eagles need to figure something out about who can fill in as the wide receiver of the future.
FanSided's Ryan Fowler reported that the Eagles are taking the first step toward finding a replacement for Dotson by hosting Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. for a 30-minute visit. This is the first reported visit for the Eagles, as they decide on what to do with the 23rd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Eagles hosting Omar Cooper on a visit
Last season, Cooper won a national title with the Hoosiers, catching 69 passes for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named as a second-team All-Big Ten selection.
Cooper is only six feet tall, but he is a playmaker who runs clean routes and can make guys miss. He ran an impressive 4.42 40-yard time at the NFL Combine.
Looking at his fit in the Eagles' offense, Cooper can jump right in as a slot receiver and have Brown and DeVonta Smith on the outside. Cooper would make a good replacement for Dotson and can do more things than he can, but it will fall on Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion to get involved in the offense.
Over the last two years, the biggest problem with the Eagles' offense has been that it has pretty much just been Brown, Smith, and Dallas Goedert as the top receivers. The slot receivers like Dotson just get completely forgotten about in the passing game.

Cooper is the type of talent that shouldn't be forgotten in an offense because he can make an impact. The Eagles would be making a solid choice at 23 with Cooper if they decided to go with a receiver.
