Nate Sudfeld

Here's another familiar face for Eagles fans, Could Philadelphia look to bring back Nate Sudfeld to serve as Hurts' backup? Don't all jump for joy at once.

Sudfeld was with the Eagles from 2017 to 2020 and he was a member of the team that won the first Super Bowl in franchise history in 2018. He appeared in four games for the Eagles during his time with the team.

Since then, Sudfeld has spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions. He tore his ACL in the preseason last year and missed the entire 2023 season as a result. But, he should be healthy and good to go for the 2024 campaign.

Sudfeld, 30, has never started a game in the NFL, so it's tough to have too much faith in him as a backup. But, he would likely be a cheap option for Philadelphia to consider.

The Eagles also have quarterback Tanner McKee on the roster, who they selected in the sixth round of the 2023 draft. The team could also select a quarterback again in the upcoming '24 draft, but it seems like they'll want at least one quarterback with professional experience behind Hurts on the depth chart.
