This team needs a more experienced coaching staff.

There's this thing with the Eagles front office that we don't discuss very often. They like to believe they're smarter than everyone else, and truth be told, they are in many ways.

You can't find a better owner than Jeffrey Lurie. General managers don't get any better than Howie Roseman. There's just one problem. They like to think they're ahead of the curve in some areas where they may not be i.e. the hiring of their head coaches.

The Eagles are never going to hire a re-tread or an experienced head coach. They like the idea of uncovering those diamonds, new guys with fresh ideas. Sometimes, it works (Doud Pederson/Andy Reid). Sometimes, you get Chip Kelly. It may be time to do some soul searching though.

Maybe that new kid on the block theory needs to be retired... maybe. This team needs a more experienced coaching staff. It's evident in the on-field product. It's evident in the results. It's hard to understand what the reasoning is sometimes.
