While many of us will never understand why the Pro Bowl still exists, there's a part of us that enjoys seeing our guys make the squad. It's fun to vote for our favorite players. It's always fun to see how many Philadelphia Eagles land on the list, and how could we even live with ourselves if we didn't spend a few hours complaining about the Birds that didn't?

Two Eagles team captains, Jalen Hurts and Darius Slay, weren't named to the initial Pro Bowl roster. They have been added now as alternates. Players who represent teams that qualify for the Super Bowl won't participate in the coming Pro Bowl games, so QB1 will serve as a replacement for Brock Purdy while Slay replaces Charvarius Ward.

Take a look.

Let's hope the Eagles add some spice to the usually boring Pro Bowl Games.

Jalen Hurts and Darius Slay will join six of their teammates at the Pro Bowl Games: C Jason Kelce, T Lane Johnson, G Landon Dickerson, RB D'Andre Swift, WR A. J. Brown,
and OLB Haason Reddick. Well, better late than never, right? Let's hope they give the events there some added intrigue.

As great as the NFL's product is, there's one area where other professional sports have outclassed them, their All-Star Games. The Pro Bowl has never measured up, and nothing the league has tried in an attempt to create a buzz has helped change that.

The game was normally awful, so creative minds tried to come up with other alternatives to make things interesting. Hall of Famers have been assigned as team captains to pick sides. The NFL even allowed AFC and NFC talent to play on the same rosters. Then, came the flag football thing.

Yeah, we have a recommendation. Pro football needs to come up with some better ideas, or we all need to begin asking questions like should we blow up the whole thing and start over?

We're Eagles and football fans, so we'll be watching. Hey, we're football junkies, but here's where we'll leave this. We hope the Eagles are back in the big game next season so our guys won't have to show up.
