Eagles rumors: A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith address trade rumors among a handful of other topics
Following a rough stretch of football to close the Philadelphia Eagles' season, there have been more questions asked than answered. The guys sure picked a horrible time to hit a rough patch, didn't they? Oh well... Adversity builds character, at least that's what they tell us. Then again, there are also questions about whether or not there are bad apples in Philly's locker room.
Ah yes... The NFL offseason...
There's also the usual offseason talk. There has already been discussion about whether or not hanging on to Nick Sirianni was the Eagles' first choice and if two members of the core four might call it a career. We won't even get into the roster concerns, at least not now.
But, while we're at it, let's talk about some good news and keep things light and positive. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are one of pro football's top receiving duos. That doesn't need to be questioned.
They recently woke up early to flex their vocal cords during a recent media drop, and as you might expect, the discussion was an interesting one.
A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith hang out on the Up & Adams show.
Since her exit from NFL Network's highly popular Good Morning Football, former host Kay Adams has made a name for herself with her brand, Up & Adams. She recently welcomed A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. That alone will move the needle, but with so much going on in Eagles land both on the field and off (A.J.'s decision to scrub his Instagram account for instance), as you might imagine, there was plenty worth discussing.
A.J. insists his decision to delete much of his content had nothing to do with his relationship with Philly or anything related to his team. He states he's merely trying to grow as a person. Some fans cry foul though. They would rather dismiss him as a 'diva'. That has even led to trade rumors.
On that subject, Brown didn't shy from the question. Here's what he had to say on the topic.
"I don't know. Maybe they know something I don't know. I kinda been through this before. I'm a vet. I'll remain quiet. If something happens I'll be waiting by the phone and if not, I'll be right here."
Yeah... It was a rough season for all parties involved. Hopefully, the offseason brings great tidings. Regardless of what happens, good or bad, we know it won't be quiet. You know what? That's alright with us!
So, here's a quick review. A.J. and DeVonta spent a little over a dozen minutes with Kay Adams and delivered an entertaining watch. The topics ranged from Jason Kelce's rumored retirement to other things that will pique Eagles fans' interest like the hiring of a new offensive coordinator. Check out more of the highlights:
Expect A.J. Brown's return for his third Eagles season in 2024. This is year four for our guy DeVonta. Expect both to deliver the goods.
