Reasonable requests: DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown both eclipse 100 yards receiving.

After a torrid stretch where A.J. Brown scorched the record books and became the first player in NFL history to stack 125 yards receiving or more in six consecutive games (Week 3 to Week 8), the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills decided to dedicate defensive resources to silencing Philly's star.

And, then DeVonta Smith went off.

Number 6 has racked up 13 receptions, 205 yards receiving, and a touchdown over these past two weeks. That has helped an offense that has also had to walk into battle minus Dallas Goedert.

Reasonable requests: Jalen Carter has his breakout game. Christian McCaffrey is held to

Yes... We know Fletcher Cox is hobbled. We know Jordan Davis had his issues with the hamstring and Milton Williams has recently suffered a concussion. We don't care. We believe in Philly's run defense more than we believe in McCaffrey's ability to exploit it.

No mathematical calculations are needed. We're strictly using an eyeball test here. WE BELIEVE THE EAGLES' RUSHING DEFENSE IS BETTER THAN THE 49ERS RUSHING ATTACK. The Birds will show off some swagger here, and that will be one of the stories that comes out of this one.
